L’Île-Perrot

Why I chose (and you may want to choose) to call Île-Perrot home

As a West Island resident most of my life, when it came time to purchase a home, I, like many other young home buyers looked at prices for homes in the West Island and then quickly looked to the nearest community west, the beautiful and often more affordable Montéregie West region and in particular I chose the island of Île-Perrot.

The reasons for choosing to buy a home and raise my family in Île-Perrot are many. Real estate is less expensive in Île-Perrot compared to just over the bridge in the West Island. There are excellent choices for public schools in the elementary level in both French and English and excellent French secondary schools, with English secondary school options available by school bus. Quality of life is great in Île-Perrot! From the numerous public parks, outdoor activities and events throughout the year, organized sports, cultural development, and welcoming community feel, there is a lot to love about Île-Perrot. Quick access to grocery stores, restaurants, hardware stores and other important shopping options are all available either in Île-Perrot within a short drive nearby.

As a real estate broker (and 15 year resident of Île-Perrot) who’s helped many clients buy homes and condos in Île-Perrot, I’m in a unique position to share my perspective on a place I call home. Both from my own perspective as a resident here and what attracts my clients to move to Île-Perrot. After buying my first condo in Île-Perrot, my family and I moved a couple of times in the area, until moving to our current home where we’ve lived for the last 10 years. I’ve raised my kids here, they attend schools and play organized sports in the area and have grown up here.  It’s a wonderful area to settle down and raise a family, and I’m here to share why I think Île-Perrot is an amazing place to call home.

Nestled on the picturesque shores of the Saint Lawrence River, Île-Perrot is a charming island town that beckons with its serene beauty, vibrant community, and a quality of life that’s second to none.
